Email from CarMax:

I sent an email to CarMax to ask about BSafe- and before anyone says that iHub members are harassing the dealers- I sent 1 email and simply asked if they knew about the device and whether it was available at the dealership.

Note: their customer service and sales manager were great. The local sales manager returned my email in just a few hours and was very pleasant. If you’re buying a car and near Hartford- give them a call:

We have not received any information on the BSafe Mobile device/app. I did do some research online and it appears that the company is working to partner with Carmax but nothing looks finalized yet. I am sure if and when we have this option available, it will be presented on Carmax.com so feel free to monitor the site for more details.

Now- this person didn’t say there was no deal, they said that he had not heard of the deal. I know these deals take time, but a “huge” partnership like this would be discussed with the regional sales managers, don’t you think? Aren’t we mass producing the device? Based on this boards’ calculations- we’re producing 2000 units a month, right? Shouldn’t we have enough devices to ship to CarMax right away?
