ForReal, no, my point was more simple, that the answer to your rather passive-aggressive question was
obvious. That separation of families under any circumstance is, more than not, an unhappy situation.

That was my reasoning too.

Put simply, what Trump made was a tough-me, shoot-from-the-hip policy decision, motivated mainly by his desire to mollify his fear-stricken base.
Then, instead of ripping an Obama era policy apart, his own created reality couldn't cope, and he ended up having to fall back on Obama's
catch-and-release. Plus now he also has to spend your tax dollars on reuniting all the children he separated from families in the first place.

That's the idiot you afford some comfort to.
