fuagf -- as to that, the trick is -- is that which is placed into the technical incarnation a dupe, a separate copy, or the one-and-only original self/consciousness, maintaining its own continuity through and beyond its being placed into the technical incarnation? -- does the person's own intrinsic self/consciousness live on only figuratively as duplicated in the technical incarnation, or does it live on literally as/within the technical incarnation?

I will have/post/tie together more -- but this one just popped up and I think bears strongly both on the perspective on robots, and on the nature of artificial intelligence and the types of systems from which it will arise/awaken (think also in particular of e.g. the already massive, rapidly growing/developing, and already significantly interconnected not only governmental but also [the at least cumulatively even more massive] private databases/big data/data mining):
