ForReal, The main thing about going to a consulate or a port of entry is you wont get locked up and separated from your children.

What kind of parent are you that knowingly enters the USA illegally and knows that your children will be taken away from you because have been arrested for illegal entry which is a crime.

There's many good people that want to come to the USA but as mr40 pointed out in his post I think it was 32% of those that are in federal prison are illegals.

I know 2 landscapers in my area that have housing on their property for migrant workers and every year they have to apply for visas for them to come here and always have problems getting enough visas to meet their needs for workers.

Congress IMO should fix this problem as these people bring back the same people every year and if one is a screw up no visa next year.

I lived in a totally Hispanic neighborhood in Chicago for about 10 years (it was originally mostly Polish and Lithuanian.

Most all family's on my block were fantastic always wanting to help me with anything . The dark side was I had a run in with the Latin Kings gang.

I seen 2 of them coming down my alley looking in the yards to steal anything I got my gun and closed my garage door and when they got by me they said , "what you looking at old man?"

I pulled my gun pointed it at them and said dying ain't easy son so just get the fuck out of my neighborhood.

Next day they tried to burn down my garage but failed but did cause damage.

My son who was a federal agent at that time told me Dad you got to move out of there. I told him they will have to kill me as I was here first. He said Dad they won't kill you they will kill Mom just to piss you off.

Needless to say I moved .
