I am not defending separating children from the parents. But I do defend the right of this country to NOT be manipulated by economic migrants with children gaming the system.

These loopholes have to be closed. And the message should go out that the US does not presume that someone appearing at our border should be consider asylum seekers.

Where does this end? Do we empty the South American and Central American countries--many countries that do not work, like Venezuela (the next migrant wave to come when Colombia cannot deal with the problem)>

Do we as a nation harm our citizens because we cannot afford this influx? Should everyone on Social Security be prepared to see their income get threatened because of this country taking on too many illegal migrants?

I can already read what you are going to say. The US is at fault about most of the problems south of the border. All those countries would have been thriving economies if not for the US's hand in the past.

The blame game is a very convenient straw man. Blame the US and its history and you will always have a reason on why we have to make amends, reparations, open our borders, yada yada yada.

What is against International law is asylum seekers (ostensibly because they are not safe in their own countries) transiting though Mexico so the can "choose' where to seek asylum.
