President Donald Trump’s lawyer flatly admitted that the White House is waging a fierce information campaign
against special counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

The aim: to delegitimize the probe in the eyes of voters and lawmakers in Congress.

Rudy Giuliani, asked about the near-daily attacks on the probe, said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday,
“They are giving us the material. I couldn’t do it if I didn’t have the material. ... It is for public opinion.”
