Five months ago nobody had heard of Stefan Halper or even remembered his CIA connections!
Trump may end up firing Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller. That would burst the deep state dam!
I'm just sitting back and waiting for the IG report and then we will have the facts.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Un underestimated Trump's desire for the summit. He thought he was in the driver's seat and made new demands. Trump was rightfully not excited about the destruction of the already destroyed nuke launch operation.
Kim Jong Un got in a snit over exercises involving nuclear-capable B-52 bombers that the US, Japan and South Korea were planning to conduct over the Korean Peninsula. Kim threatened to cancel ongoing talks with the South.
Trump tried to placate Kim by disavowing Bolton’s remarks. As for the training over the Korean Peninsula, the US removed the B-52s from the program.
Kim had also barred South Koreans from joining an international group of journalists who were planning to witness the dismantling of a nuclear weapons test site. The move came just a week after promises of “transparency” from Kim.
On Saturday, the diminutive dictator resurrected another issue. He demanded that Seoul return 12 North Korean defectors.
Days earlier, he said he might pull out from meeting President Trump on June 12 in Singapore. Kim was mad at national security adviser John Bolton’s call for North Korea to completely denuclearize.
In a statement Friday by state-run KCNA that cited Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea vowed to continue to pursue peace and signaled it would give Washington more time to reconsider talks. “Our goal and will to do everything for peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and mankind remains unchanged, and we are always willing to give time and opportunity to the US side with a big and open mind,” according to the statement.
“We express our intent that there is a willingness to sit at any time, in any way to resolve issues.”
Earlier Thursday, Trump called the collapse of his planned summit with Kim a setback for both North Korea and the world, and said the U.S. military is ready if necessary in the event of a conflict on the Korean peninsula.
During a speech today, Trump said he held out hope that the June 12 summit in Singapore could get back on track, or that he and Kim could meet in the future. “Nobody should be anxious. We have to get it right,” he said.
