Hey Matt...when do you go to Prague? I missed your original posts about your trip or I would have tipped you off earlier.

Most of the younger Czechs speak English but are self-conscious about their accent....once one engages them in conversation, however, they are most eager to talk to Americans.

My other-half spoke Czech at one time and thought he had forgotten the language...it gradually came back to him with some help from several young ladies (very attractive, I might add).

He spent a good half-hour our first day in Prague struggling to communicate with the desk clerk in our hotel... for one thing..trying to find out how to say "room" in Czech. Finally, she told him, with hardly an accent... to just ask his questions in English! LOL
