Thank you very much for the information on Track. I have used Track Data's market data products for years, and found them to be very user friendly and quite reliable. However, because I've been extremely happy over the last 10 years with my current brokerage firm, I never looked into Track's brokerage services when they opened about 5 years ago. I did hear they they had some bugs they needed to work out, which, from your 'report' it sounds like they have. Good.
I am a very active day trader, and, often 'recycle' nearly every dollar of my day trade buying power numerous times each day. For this reason, it is extremely important that I find the right broker that can provide top notch customer service (including reliable back up phone support, with little or almost no 'hold' time) and software that accommodates my trading style. How would you rate Track's phone support? I see that their customer service is available from 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., meaning that they are not available through p.m. extended hours trading. Not really a problem, but, I've been used to excellent 24/7 phone support, and, maybe once or twice over the last year had to resolve a problem right at the close of night time trading. Also, how are they with DTBP calculations throughout the day? Are your orders ever held up due to an error on their part - ie., an alert mistakenly kicks in that you have exceeded your DTBP, and, therefore you are no longer allowed to trade, or, you are asked to submit funds? I've heard horror stories about some firms having software problems with highly active day traders, causing huge margin calls (in error) or causing the account to be 'frozen'.
