Depends upon the state laws. Some states at least one person has to have knowledge, which would be you, others state both parties must have knowledge, which means you have to record them agreeing to be recorded. I think if you are recording someone in another state, some have laws that that person must know. It tricky and online sites are never accurate and most lower paid lawyers don't even know.
