Adverum Biotechnologies…announced that the board of directors and Amber Salzman, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer and director, made a mutual determination that Dr. Salzman step down from these roles, effective May 3, 2018.

The board of directors is initiating a search process to recruit a new president and chief executive officer. Leone Patterson, senior vice president and chief financial officer, has been appointed interim president and chief executive officer of Adverum. Dr. Salzman has agreed to serve as a consultant to the Company for a period of time in order to help ensure a smooth transition.
