The only solid indication is the heavy index option buying this AM. At one point, the total P/C was at 1.16, while the equity only component was .55. The index options are generally thought to be the smart money (investment professionals) vs equity only options which are the dumb money (retail purchasers), so that says the pros were loading up on index puts.
