I don't think the "warring factions", as you put it are in 100% disagreement. In fact, most of the issues are generally agreed upon apart from certain claims. Some have been clearly disproven by actual documentation while others are still in limbo. It's not about the "individual(s), since we are all strangers. It's about the "air of infallibility" presented, even when proven 100% wrong on some issues. This is what irks, imo, those who share alternative views on various subjects.
