I don’t understand your question. A share created to pay off debt isn’t sold from treasury, but it is issued from treasury. It goes to the lender. The company doesn’t get paid, except in the sense that it owes less, the debt having been paid down in newly minted shares.

The inventory I was referring to though is not the treasury. I was referring to the market makers’ inventories.
