alexed your memory chips have to match exactly or they won't be seen by the puter. Also the puter will decided which group to recognize, sometimes the larger group, sometimes not. In my case I was trying to upgrade from 64MB to 128MB, there was only one chip in the box so I went down to the store and bought another 64MB. The only problem was it came in 32MB chips and the clerk at the store knew less about upgradeing than I did. The first time I booted my box up it told me I had 64MB, I was confused!!! The next time I booted it, it told me I had 32MB, now I was really confused. Found out the hard, if the chips don't match, the puter won't see them all!
