Air America Radio Files For Chapter 11
(AP) A month after denying rumors it would file for bankruptcy, Air America Radio did just that Friday.

A spokeswoman with the liberal network says talks with a creditor broke down, so it's filing for Chapter 11 protection. She also tells AP that Air America will continue broadcasting while it sorts things out.

Air America started in 2004 and features liberal talk show hosts including Al Franken of 'Saturday Night Live' fame. But just last month, Franken said his paycheck had stopped coming, and the network acknowledged pink-slipping a few employees.

New York City investigators earlier found Air America got an improper $875,000 loan from a government-funded youth group, where the network's co-founder had worked. Air America later repaid the loan.
