sanctions are about himself. He would know much detail about the Seychelles and other meeting of his team with Putin people toward getting those sanctions lifted.

The Mueller investigation is about himself, so he asks Priebus and another for detail. The detail of possible witness tampering he probaly missed missed because it's outside his focus.
