The scientific network of LFB is not to be underestimated. A key person in this network seems to be Professor Hervé Fridman. He seems to be everywhere.

LFB’s scientific committee: The mission of LFB’s scientific committee is to guide the laboratory’s research & development choices. It is made up of eminent French and international specialists and chaired by Hervé Fridman, Professor of Immunology, Head of the Biological Immunology Service at Georges Pompidou European Hospital, Paris and Head of INSERM Unit 255, “Cellular and Clinical Immunology.”

He is also director of the Federal Institute of Research “cellular regulation and communications” (IFR 58), which gathers together around 450 researchers and technicians on a surface of 10,000 m2. This IFR is developing three specific research axes: nephrology, nutrition, and immunology; as well as the transversal axis of the physiology of development and differentiation.

Below a reference which tells more about the tremendous research network, in which LFB plays its role. Interesting in the article is the following phrase:

"Collaboration in a protein analysis (proteomic) centre is also planned, along with a common animal house integrating the current IFR transgenic department."

This is absolutely no featherweight partner. I hope some of the scientists on this board can have a look at this link and comment.
