OTC Markets bought a company that provided quotations for tiny public stock companies. It was called Pink Sheets because the quotations were printed on pink paper. You're not old enough to have actually seen this document that was present in every retail brokerage branch in America.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
