UBS upgrades semi equipment stocks UBS upgrades AMAT, ATMI, KLAC, LRCX, NVLS, PLAB, and VSEA to Buy from Neutral, upgrades ASMI to Neutral from Reduce, and maintains their Neutral ratings for COHR, NEWP, and VECO; firm cites the acceleration in sustainable SPE order flow, expectations of increasingly better tech news, and an improving economy; macro-economic models indicate that a sustainable improvement in orders should begin late this year and continue into 2004.
