fuagf -- yep -- we have vastly more guns per capita (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_guns_per_capita_by_country ) than (apparently literally) anywhere else, and vastly higher gun deaths per capita (e.g. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/2/21/17028930/gun-violence-us-statistics-charts , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate , https://www.cnn.com/2017/10/03/americas/us-gun-statistics/index.html ) than any other devevelped (. . .) nation -- a correlation which is not a coincidence -- period

so long as so many guns are out there, with yet more going out all the time -- . . .

my strongest concern re that particular reality is/remains its further potential, its making possible extreme violence extensively inflicted extremely quickly
