Trades that happen before or after market open hours are called T-trades, and they didn't really happen off hours. T-trades actually happen during market open hours but don't get recorded until after the fact. It's extremely common practice, you'll see it in most stocks. The reason it's so high (47million) is partially because of the high volume we had today. A T-trade does not necessarily mean MM is buyingback shares, but at the same time, bought back shares could happen as T-trades. T-trades don't discriminate ;)
