I would think the highest dosage of any NSAID would be cause for elevated liver enzyme counts.

Taking ibuprofin actually raises in a signficant way a person's chances to die of a cardiac event as well. All of this is to say that I'm surprised elevated liver enzymes would be cause to can a drug in its early stages.
