It was my understanding that the shares went from the transfer agent to the DTC and from the DTC to the participants (e-trade, ameritrade, etc). So the transfer agent wouldnt be involved any more.
The only thing the transfer agent would do now is break down the huge cert that the participants got from the DTC into smaller ones to be mailed out to us.
