Hey Id_Jit...

There was a record company out of Scotland in the seventies called that... I still laugh everytime I hear it. Good to meet you!

I think that the issues being flaunted here tonight are less about SLJB than about something more prescient and of purpose to iHub itself.... they are perhaps signalling that there may be something structurally wrong here. People are complaining about censure, not because of the censure, but because of what that censure is doing.

The idea of the mods, a simple thing, a thing that seems good on paper, the devolution of power, is still not quite worked out. That people with self serving interests can serve a wider interest is in itself an oxymoron.

The premise that the advancement of a stock price is in itself good, even to the detriment to a large number of shareholders is, as we know, contrary to certain social conventions involving groups. But, this IS the stockmarket. Or, is it?

No, it's a Bullboard.

Therein lies the conundrum. Do ideas get discussed, or are they swept under a rug so that certain, ah, agendas can be developed, worked on, polished, and finally enabled? Where does the Bullboard end and the Stockmarket begin?

What is NOT happening here is support for those who swim against the tides, and the fish in it. People with contrary ideas about a stock, or a play, or the people in it, or whatever, are publicly pilloried at the signalled behest of the mods when those special intersts are challenged. And iHub tacitly supports the culture.

Until that problem is recognized, accepted for the unhealthy thing that it is, and RECTIFIED, iHub will suffer and lose. For those of us who care, we choose to bring it to the forum where those who run the place, and CAN change it, hang out.

Sorry to take so long,

fringe
