yes, and lots of people are working on the e-book model...so it is simply a matter of time...

Personal publishing...(like on the Internet) will drive some usage.....and some adv supported media..

but getting the digital files should not be too wild....

varying formats can be delt with...depending on how one utilizes the operating system....just like you can play an encarta disk...then a learn French program..

These ebooks are simply computers tailored for that purpose...but I agree....a standard will rise....
