WHO WANTS TO PAY 8MIL$ for SOMETHING THAT BP DOESN'T WANT TO PAY 8MIL$ FOR?
8 Milion $ is for BP the cost of a big medical event with Doctors and Credit Card shopping for Doctors wifes, wining & dining and entertainment in exotic luxury resorts and hotels, plane tickets, boat trips and Rolex Hand-outs as if it where chocolates.
Yet BP that sometimes pays a few hundred million for Stage I companies doesn't want to pay 10Milion$ to secure the PPHM IP and to be sure they don't find it at the other end of the war if they do something in the PtdSer arena? Who believes that. . . .
An alternative way of looking at this would be, WHY would a BP pay even a dime for a drug that has consistently failed to live up to the hype of its management. In the end, BP didn't pay a dime for this platform, so there is that truth to deal with. Even $AZN ran away after the failure of SUNRISE - no surprise. No company worth its salt would want to pay a penny for a failed molecule (should be a crime to call it a drug), and this one failed REPEATEDLY.
Ok, I will go eat my "salted peanuts" and breadcrumbs now.
Go $CDMO.
.......said Roger J. Lias, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of Avid. "Importantly, this deal marks the completion of our transition to a dedicated CDMO, while providing additional capital, both upfront and potentially downstream, to support our CDMO business."
