the main thrust of the 'dubya's fault' thing was, of course, the economy dubya left in ruins and still in rapid further decline -- the proper parallel would have been "Like Obama gets credit for the good economy now?"
which actually, for the most part anyway, he does, and deservedly so
just like dubya deservedly took and takes blame, for the most part anyway, for the effects of his late/end of term crash which only bottomed shortly into Obama's first term and the effects of which lingered for years after -- indeed, to an extent, at least in terms of its net impact on our national debt, continue now and will continue to linger well into the indefinite future
