Thanks Not a Short, WBMW is usually better than that. It would be nice to see the RAS features offered in the HP
rx2600(2U) compared to the Newisys 2100(1U). From what I saw the Newisys design offers the same features as the HP design.
This article that most on this thread have already seen compared AMD64 vs IPF but I was left wanting more. I even emailed the author.

Maybe when the two heavyweights from each side..(spokeshave and wbmw) have time they could help the rest of us out who are
interested in this. At the least it would be nice if wbmw would qualify his statement "Itanium architecture and the supporting chipsets have much higher levels of RAS than Opteron" ---12303
