As we move into 2018, we can’t help but look back what has been an incredible year 2017 was for Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD). The security industry as a whole has continued to shift toward artificial intelligence-based and robotic solutions, contributing to the impressive growth, acceptance and expansion RAD has experienced over the last 12 months.

From debuting its S5 Security Guard Robots at Microsoft in February and Verizon’s Operation Convergent Response in June, RAD spent the year demonstrating the safety and operational benefits security robots provide to a variety of markets, such as the corporate environment, disaster and security response and more.

With the momentum building through the year and up until the end of August, RAD was able to take its mission to the next level by merging with On the Move Systems (OMVS). This has allowed RAD to accelerate delivery of customized solutions to its broad client base across North America as the demand for security guard robots continues to grow at a rapid rate. RAD also entered into a strategic partnership with Romeo Power in August, which brought Romeo’s lithium-ion battery packs to the S5 Security Guard Robot.

The summer’s development included the deployment of RAD’s first two robots at the headquarter
rs of Romeo Power Technology in Vernon, Calif. The 113,000-square-foot facility utilizes the security robots to augment the existing security, safety and operational processes in place at the site. These deployments display RAD’s steady progression and determination to provide a strong value proposition to customers that creates new levels of security and streamlined operations. In addition, RAD saw tremendous momentum on the sales front securing a strategic agreement to supply its intelligent robotic solutions through Allied Universal, a leading facility services company and the largest security force in North America with over 150,000 employees. RAD’s security guard robot also was deployed at several critical infrastructure sites and a big box retailer.

RAD couldn’t have achieved these milestones without the help of its dedicated and hard working team. RAD’s team grew exponentially throughout the year, with a highlight including the appointment of Matt Klock as Vice President of Sales. RAD has continued to grow, its facilities have expanded to include additional offices, and renovations to existing offices to reconfigure layouts for the expanding team.
Moving into 2018, RAD is looking forward to building upon the success of 2017 and accomplishing even bigger and greater goals. We’ve got big plans to expand RAD’s solution offerings focusing on applying artificial intelligence technologies to a variety of security challenges including expanding the software analytics lineup.

As much as was done in 2017 we are looking at 2018 to be an incredible year. Thank you for your support!
