Quite simple: The float is the float, there are shares out there that couldn't be acquired in the deal because they are in the float. Now how do you acquire the float. Well, you have to buy the shares on the open market. To do that you need volume. Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt and shakes shares loose so more shares can be acquired on the open market.
Look, the float is being acquired daily since Dec.21. Dilution and R/S fear causes dumps on the open market and churning of shares
