I was just reading an old press release from JNJ:

In the coming years, Verb Surgical aims to develop a comprehensive surgical solutions platform that will incorporate leading-edge robotic capabilities and best-in-class medical device technology for operating room professionals.

My thoughts are this:
Google wants the data
JNJ wants the devise

Verb was born.

No chance JnJ/Ethicon building their own devise unless they started a decade ago. Also, I thought they were going to show the world a prototype last year but it appears it was only shown to the Executive's at google and JnJ.
