They probably signed up in 5 minutes at the AT&T website.

The IoT Accelerator Program

AT&T’s IoT Accelerator Program helps accelerate IoT device development. This program offers a selection of low-cost, high performance LTE modules certified for the AT&T network, simplifying IoT device designs while speeding your time to market. These modules meet the needs of a broad range of IoT applications, lower the cost of IoT device designs globally, and improve device performance. Through the IoT Accelerator Program, AT&T has made it easy to obtain these modules by offering them through key suppliers. You can request module information directly from the suppliers or download the full AT&T approved module catalog.

SRMX mentioned WNC in their PR.

The newest additions to the IoT Accelerator Program are the IMS2 and IMA2 LTE-M modules from leading manufacturer WNC. These LTE-M modules offer multiple deployment options and run over the AT&T LTE-M network; the first AT&T network on a dedicated spectrum that is optimized for IoT. The WNC IMS2 LTE-M module is available now, offering great design flexibility at a price as low as $7.50 each including SIM card. The IMA2 will be available Q1 2018* and will easily integrate into designs that began with the IMS2 module.

Not even warranted by AT&T.

Parties other than AT&T manufacture and sell the modules. AT&T provides links to these companies for your convenience. AT&T does not warrant the offerings of, any of these businesses, their products, or the content of their Websites. AT&T does not assume any responsibility or liability for the modules. You should carefully review their conditions of use prior to purchase. Quantity levels based on annual commitments.

*Pricing listed limited to minimum order of 1,000 units

SRMX bought the minimum. Says so right in their press release. 1,000 chips for $7,500. They had to buy the minimum, lol...Took maybe 5 minutes to do so. Probably less. Anyone can do it...and PR it.

No one saw this information that kingpindg posted?
