First of all...
Here is what Pelosi said...again...
“House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), cast doubt on the benefits of the post-tax-reform bonuses, calling them "insignificant" compared to the benefits that corporate executives will gain under the revised tax system.
“In terms of the bonus that corporate America received, versus the crumbs that they are giving to workers to kind-of put the schmooze on, [it] is so pathetic,” Pelosi told reporters Thursday.”

Reading comprehension is key...
I have highlighted the important parts for you.
Secondly, how many people are actually receiving the $1000?
“Here's a breakdown of what employees should expect to receive:
More than 20 years of service: $1,000
15 to 19 years of service: $750
10 to 14 years of service: $400
5 to 9 years of service: $300
2 to 4 years of service: $250
Less than 2 years of service: $200”

AT&T is supposedly giving its $1000 bonsus to about 200k employees.
But again...compared to how much AT&T will gain, that’s not much.
Yes, I agree that Walmart is giving their workers a pitence COMPARED to the windfall the company is receiving from the Tax Cut and JOBS Act...
And I think it was DISINGENUOUS of both Walmart and the GOP to tout the bonsuses etc
while the very same day they were closing 63 stores and laying off thousands of people.
That’s my opinion and all the name calling going on here is not going to change it.
It’s pretty funny hearing myself labeled as a “liberal” these days...
Considering I have been a lifelong Republican.
I am sorry I can no longer stomach what the GOP has come to be...
Country before Party.
I admire the FEW that are willing to stand up...
“It is clear at this moment that a traditional conservative, who believes in limited government and free markets, who is devoted to free trade, who is pro-immigration, has a narrower and narrower path to nomination in the Republican Party, the party that has so long defined itself by its belief in those things.
It is also clear to me for the moment that we have given in or given up on the core principles in favor of a more viscerally satisfying anger and resentment. To be clear, the anger and resentment that the people feel at the royal mess that we’ve created are justified. But anger and resentment are not a governing philosophy.”

How about we discuss the question I posed in my first post here?
“The most optimistic assumption by the Tax Foundation estimated that even with new growth, the bill would increase the deficit by $448 billion over 10 years. The JCT said the bill would add around $1 trillion to the deficit, while the TPC estimated that number would be a little under $1.3 trillion.”

It seems the GOP only cares about the ballooning deficit if it’s a Democrat at the helm.
Kinda like the people who bitched about Obama’s golfing,
or the amount he allegedly spent on vacations...
But I never hear a peep out of them about TRUMP’S golfing
or the fact that he’s on course to spend more in two years than Obama did in 8...
vacationing at HIS resorts....
With taxpayer money flowing into HIS pockets!!!
The GOP has become the party of hypocrites and liars.
And I don’t want any part of it.
If that makes me a “liberal” now?
So be it.
