Thanks for the clarification.

In your example, the transaction is record as a short sale. But each transaction has 2 parties. The MM who short sell the stock must have a MM on the long side. So from that 2nd MM, is this transaction record as a buy? If yes, then we shall see the same numbers on Long (Buy) side vs Short (Sell) side, right? But that is not what we see on FINRA. What do I miss?
