When my dad was alive he paid no attention to the wind chill. To him it was just cold as hell frozen over and I'd go out and do the snow blowing.

When I moved away I had neighbors that looked after him and plowed him out after every storm.

The liquor store owner in town lived on the same street and he had my CC number on file. I'd call him up and say the usual drop off a bottle on the way home for my dad and our snowplow man.

It's pretty cold here now in NC so I send my son out now to restock the bird feeders and the suet cakes.
