I hear it is very common to get a fda approved product and shelve it for 2 years. That appears to be a very smart strategy by intuitive. Let’s just wait until competition comes and then release it. Also, since their price point is so high on SP it appears they are having problems manufacturing bc they haven’t been able to get cost down in the 5+ years they have been working on SP.

The advantage every competitor has over Intuitive in this surgical robotic market is that they aren’t intuitive. Almost 90% of Intuitive customers can’t wait to switch to something other that Intuitive. They will even go to a POS like ALF (I mean Senhance) bc it is not Intuitive.
