I agree with you that this is a very dangerous market, and I would only add that short term it is equally dangerous for longs and shorts. I believe the market will undergo a substantial revaluation to the downside before long, but it could continue higher before that happens.

I have either been stopped out of or voluntarily terminated a number of my core short positions and probably should have taken the nice profits on some of the others when I had the chance. I have set up the core shorts a number of times since the bear first began and it always involves some ins and outs before I am comfortable with the positions, but this time has been by far the most frustrating entry yet. I have to keep reminding myself to forget fundamentals, technicals, charts and indicators, and instead watch the $USD, gold, bonds, and the list of "usual suspects." This is not a normal market by any stretch of the imagination.
