I’ve been playing hmny long before any of you guys and this isn’t the first time they’ve done this. Almost every time there’s great news it’s followed by horrible news. Last time I got caught in it and sold and took a decent loss but saved myself from taking a tremendous one because I got out right when I saw the headline of them even doing an offering. The point of an offering is to raise money for the move behind the good news so the stock goes way up and then say they need to raise money to make the good news happen so then it tanks. Offerings are always substantially lower than the market PPS leaving existing shareholders screwed unless you plan on holding your position LT to see the end result and hope that their structure and performance model pans out as profitable. Most members here are day traders (like myself) or ST holders so the offering normally kills the ST holders and some DT’s also get caught in it if they were holding the bag when the PR headlined. 9 out of 10 times, when you see an offering being filed, get the hell out and take whatever drop that’s happened because it only gets worse from that point forward if your holding.
