Karen, my wife a former victim of oral mucositis agrees. She would have jumped at the chance to avoid it. Sadly, her treatment involved swishing a mixture of Maalox and Benedryl. She thinks the BOM trial results are the first real signs of hope for all cancer patients who contract this dreadful disease.
