“I don't see where I blamed anyone or showed anything worth blaming someone for.“
you were trying to deflect criticism of kim back onto shareholders..for some unknown reason..nobody is buying that anymore..
“and that "study" would not turn up the pitfalls we have faced.”
well of course..who would want to learn as much as they can about the country, business climate and realities of the country they want to enter and work with..going in blind is the way to go?...and why do you think “study” would have failed to turn up pitfalls?..
“I don't remember anyone pointing out all the pitfalls here and some people who spend all their days here would have LOVED to point those pitfalls out.”
i said from day one that vietnam was a stupid idea..and making it the only option was even dumber..i said vietnam would be extremely hard to deal with because they are a communist country, corrupt, and a third world country...
i said vietnam would also be difficult for kim to deal with because he was the epitome of the ugly American..because he was announcing how he, a ceo of a penny company, was go to save vietnams economy..he was going to lift them up..he was going to put them all to work for him and shouldn’t they just be so grateful to him?..
i said he was going to find that money talks and bs walks..i said the pollyanna in him would not be able to do what had to be done..i said vietnam would hold kim over a barrel and they would have their way with him..
i said it all from day one..look it up..
“Does anyone think Kim didn't know about MARD?”
yup..i wouldn’t be surprised if kim had no clue about mard..
“Many here have had years to "study" and still can't produce pitfalls we still face”
this is a seriously ridiculous statement..for many reasons..
“But then we would still need to face them wouldn't we?”
no..not necessarily..that’s the point of looking forward..you avoid them or get a clue how to deal with those pitfalls ahead of time..
you seem to be trying to insist that studying a situation and learning as much as you can is fruitless...it’s a silly argument that no one believes..
“Knowing a pitfall is coming doesn't mean you avoid it.”
so it’s better to not know?..lol
“Kim hit expected and unexpected pitfalls along the way.”
doesn’t everyone?..
“Study would not have really helped since 90% of them are unknown until you go through them.”
90% huh?..you sure about that?..
it’s been my experience that pitfalls generally are noticed before you reach them..and if you are diligent, long before you reach them..and no matter how you try to deflect reality, due diligence in business is never a bad thing..it’s just nuts to insist otherwise..
