Scrooge was fictional, but, the apostle Paul was not.
The similarities between the 2 are that they were able to see the wrongs in their lives and changed their crooked ways.
As evil as he has been, the judgement is ultimately not ours.
YES its true that many were deeply hurt due to his actions, and others financially ruined. And he may ultimately end up back behind bars.
But to those sorely affected, I will pray for them in hopes that Gods healing will mend their wounds and bring peace to their own lives.
I will also pray for him, in hopes that the treacherous heart that has overtaken him will be replaced with the caring grace of God.
And i pray that the disappointment will also leave myself.
We are all far from perfect and we will never be.
But by Gods grace, many of us have eternal life in heaven awaiting us. Thats more precious and valuable than anything this world can ever provide.
It's up to us do our best to walk and follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. One step at a time.
