contrarian
I agree - to the extent I understand
While I view it as retained earnings - a positive - it is on the right side or bottom of the BS - with offset from ASSETS
When SR PFD showed up on (were placed on) the BS as a stockholder liability what was the offsetting asset Debit/
I assume it was an exact same dollar amount deposited to "cash" and or booked as some sort of holding/reserve?
?
i.e. one does not get such EQUITY or obligation without the cash that comes with it (similar to a voluntary IPO) ?
