I see some lots of charts out there with the "bearish" ascending pendant formations and the imminent "the sky is going to fall" and only investment strategy is to go short. Market loves to do squeeze these shorts leading to short covering rally which in turn elongates and narrows these pendants, which in turn again reinforces the statistical significant of these charts and the desire by sme to short market.

It is just matter of time before economic news RE loss of jobs, increased energy costs or real terror attack on this continent moves us to down side big time. Upside has very limited potential as long as one can keep drawing those flags on charts.
