Pristine M is estimated to be 18 months away from commercialization (best I can tell). Construction should start soon. There is a "happy place" somewhere between too dry/higher BTU coal, and volatility. The dryer the coal, the more volatile it becomes. This would need to be completely "dialed" prior to loading the presumably higher BTU coal to ship.
Why stop at 12,000 when you can have 13?
Unless it's just too dangerous..
The quote about the longer timeframe would likely be for Pristine SA. Apparently colleges and maybe even places like Energy Capital may be helping us perfect the "SA" process.
