Agreed. It would have been nice if he had gotten out in front of the original delays with an announcement. Unfortunately, I think the anchors are pretty much buried already (as seen by the pitiful attempt to bounce above 2s this week after Friday's news).

If we are going to be delayed another month or two, I agree that a PR is basically required at this point to sustain anything resembling long-term interest.
