A lovely lady i was with for a few years decided as part of her discovery journey to check out a spiritualist church. When together she didn't want me to tag along as it was her thing. After we went our separate ways, course i had to 'investigate', eh. LOL The scent required satiation. With people in a meditation class 'seeing' spirits, and with multitudes of spirits speaking thru them from that 'so wise' world of the dead it would have been impolite to laugh out loud. I met plenty of extra sincere people who believed unbelievable things. So i relate to your have to keep a straight face incidents. We parted paths when my persona became a bit to doubting Thomas-like for me to be seen as an enthusiastic participant. It was an interesting experience.
