Do they not realize that there WILL be flippers at every price level, all the way up? There will be hoards of flippers immediately upon audit news, no matter how many they shake out beforehand. Flippers ARE their investing audience right now, and flippers are also part of the audience who is waiting on the sidelines for the audit (along with some big/strong hands too, I realize). All it takes is share availability... and there is no way they're going to get all the shares into hands which won't sell/free up millions of shares immediately upon any nice price appreciation.

They aren't purposely stalling to allow a buyer(s) better prices. IMO, they want this audit out ASAP just like all of us do.
