Telstra Signs Service and Subscription Agreement to Use the @Road GeoManager MRM Solution for Up to Approximately 7,060 Telstra Field Technicians

@Road, Inc. (ARDI), a global provider of next-generation solutions for Mobile Resource Management (MRM), today announced that Telstra, Australia's leading telecommunications and information services company, has signed a service and subscription agreement to use the @Road GeoManager(SM) solution for field force management of up to approximately 7,060 Telstra field technicians and vehicles. Telstra provides telecommunications services to more than 10.3 million Australian fixed line customers and more than 7.6 million mobile services customers. @Road's flagship GeoManager MRM solution for field force management is designed to give leading telco and other businesses the ability to optimize the management of their mobile workers, their work and their assets in the field for achieving improvements in customer service and higher levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

"Signing Telstra marks a significant milestone in our efforts to expand internationally ahead of schedule, in particular, in Australia and the Asia Pacific region."

@Road GeoManager, already a leading field force management solution in the U.S. and Asia Pacific with more than 150,000 subscribers, is designed to help businesses streamline field service delivery operations while improving customer service.

In addition to signing the @Road service and subscription agreement, Telstra has also committed to purchase up to 7,060 @Road iLM® 3100 series in-vehicle mobile devices under the terms of a previously signed purchase agreement. The @Road iLM 3100 services iLM is a functional component of the overall @Road GeoManager solution for field force management. The @Road iLM 3000 series is one of the first in-vehicle mobile devices that comes embedded with EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) or EV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) wireless network technology that also integrates GPS and Wi-Fi technologies into a single MRM solution.

"We understand that businesses increasingly want to enable their mobile workers with secure, high-speed access to critical back-office applications for improved service delivery in the field," Panu said. "That's why we've developed the @Road iLM 3100 series device component for @Road GeoManager. This new version of the @Road iLM leverages high-speed EDGE and EV-DO wireless network infrastructures with 802.11 Wi-Fi technologies to quickly connect mobile workers in the field to corporate data in real time."

The @Road iLM 3100 series is designed to provide mobile workers with high-speed 802.11 wireless connectivity between a Wi-Fi enabled mobile computing device and back-office enterprise applications. It also integrates GPS location-based technology, enabling businesses to harness the power of real-time location information of mobile resources in the field.
