Even more curious in light of Peter's observation[#915]:

My spouse[a M.D., J.D. with near 30 years experience in FDA regulatory matters] read that last night, and wondered how the device was approved in the first place.

Media and analysts seem unaware of Peter's observation. OTOH, perhaps the ABT website is out of date, and the problem with the device has been fixed.
